Fans of the first three Indiana Jones movies will enjoy the humorous ‘Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures’ video game that goes on sale across all platforms June 6.
With the return of Indiana Jones to the big screen in ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’, a slightly blockier version is leading families on a fun romp through the earlier films in ‘Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures’.
In a style similar to the highly entertaining ‘Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga’ video game, the game re-creates key scenes of ‘Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark’, ‘Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom’, and ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’ with all the characters and landscapes made out of Lego blocks.
The game play is a cross between adventure and puzzle play. In each location, you must figure out a way to manipulate your environment so that you can safely move through it. Indy’s world is full of hidden levers, minefields, switches and bridges.
Since Indy has made lots of enemies in his first three movies, a fun part of the game play is fighting these baddies. Combat is relatively easy with Indy wielding his trademark whip and the other characters using their specific fighting skills.
The Nintendo Wii version makes good use of the motion-sensitive controls. When you flip your wrist, you can feel Indiana Jones’ whip crack through your Wii Remote.
‘Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures’ will be available nationwide from 6th June for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PS2, PSP and Windows.
