Capcom Entertainment - creator of best-selling games such as Resident Evil, Street Fighter, Mega Man and Devil May Cry - have announced Spyborgs, a new action game coming exclusively to the Nintendi Wii Console in early 2009. In Spyborgs, players take on the role of bionic superspies in a fight to save the world from a group of wacky villains.
Spyborgs is the first title developed by Bionic Games, a new development team comprised of former High Impact and Insomniac Games developers known for their work on Ratchet & Clank and Resistance: Fall of Man.
Spyborgs is an innovative action-adventure game set in a stylish world resembling a Saturday morning cartoon. Players can jump between the identities of five bionic superspies to combat a squad of dysfunctional super villains. Each spyborg has unique powers to match their spy skills, such as heavy martial arts, firepower, acrobatic skateboarding skills, bladed weaponry or pure robotic destruction. Spyborgs’ tongue-in-cheek action and interactive cartoon theme will keep players engaged with one of the most fun and entertaining games to be developed for the Nintendo Wii Console.
“Our goal is to maximize the potential of the Wii Remote while delivering a new paradigm in co-operative game play,” said Michael Haller, the president of Bionic Games, “We also wanted to bring a lot of humor to the game. This game will make you laugh — for all the right reasons.”
