Guitar Hero 3: Wielding a special guitar-shaped controller that features a strum pad and 5 fret keys, you ll try to play along to famous guitar-heavy tunes by nailing a stream of scrolling notes that appear on-screen. A performance meter tracks your accuracy and if you hit the right notes on-target you ll be able to unlock additional bonus tunes and other goodies. If you play lousy and the meter drops too low, you ll be booed off the stage.

In Career Mode, you will progress through multiple tiers of songs, unlocking new songs along the way.

In Co-op Career Mode, two players can participate, with one player on lead guitar and the other on rhythm guitar or bass.

In Battle Mode, two players compete against each other either locally or online.

In Boss Battle Mode, Guitar Hero 3 for Wii gives air guitarists a chance to compete against legendary guitar gods such as Slash (Guns N’Roses, Velvet Revolver) and Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave). After defeating them, players can unlock them as a playable character and jam along with them to their best known songs.

The Wii Remote can be inserted into the Wii Gibson Les Paul guitar controller that comes with the game. Adapting the Wii Remote s advanced technology, Guitar Hero 3 uses both the rumble feature and the speaker on the Wii Remote. The rumble shakes the guitar when Star Power is activated and the speaker comes in handy when playing in multi-player mode.

“Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock” features the greatest videogame soundtrack ever. The Sex Pistols entered the studio for the first time in over 30 years to re-record "Anarchy in the UK", and Living Colour re-recorded their Grammy winning "Cult of Personality" adding a solo by legendary guitarist Vernon Reid, providing Guitar Hero 3 with original recordings not available anywhere else.

Guitar Hero 3 for the Nintendo Wii console offers up a truly legendary set list:

Guitar Hero 3 sports the greatest soundtrack of any videogame, the graphics are rubbish though.
